I’VE GOT ANSWERS
Choose a wedding photographer who is right for you.
As a destination wedding photographer, my only wish is to capture the real closeness that you share with your partner. In cultivating relationships with my clients, each couple is able to fully relax and be their most genuine selves in front of my camera - and that’s where the magic happens.
The photo becomes more than just a photo. It is a moment encapsulated in a frame, a physical keepsake that you are able to cherish for the rest of your life, an heirloom that you can share with your grandbabies. You want to remember the overwhelming joy from each moment throughout your wedding day and I want to be there to photograph each moment in the most honest, intentional and artistic way.
You should know and trust your wedding photographer completely. They are going to be the person that you spend the majority of your wedding day. They are going to be the person who is tasked with the safekeeping of your memories. You should choose a photographer who you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they will give you the perfect memento from your wedding day that you get to hold on to for your entire marriage.
Here at Emily Reedstrom Photography, I aim to create family heirlooms that you can gift to your mama, hang on your walls and pass down for generations. I want you to remember how you felt on your wedding day and feel that heartwarming, soul changing, love every time you look at see your photos.
Each of my wedding packages are custom created to fit your wedding photography needs - each package includes an engagement session and a second shooter on your wedding day.

A LOT. I’ve been working in the wedding industry on and off since 2012, and I started full time in 2018. 2020 was a bad year for all of the wedding industry, but 2022 has been straight magic so far!

HECK YES. Traveling is a huge part of my life, and one of my biggest passions. I have photographed weddings up and down the East Coast, and as far as Mexico and even Italy.
-
I’d travel to Mars if you wanted me to ;) In all seriousness, I want to be wherever you want me to be. If that means a trip to NYC for your engagement shoot or photographing your elopement on the rooftop of a hotel in Italy, I’ll be there.

This is a deal breaker for me. Every single wedding couple that I work with must agree to do an engagement session with me.
Here’s why: it’s the perfect environment for us to get to know each other!! I’m going to learn the best ways to get your to laugh, the cutest cuddle instructions for you, anything that you’re insecure about and so much more.
If you think you’d be nervous on your wedding day, this is the absolute best way to practice! On wedding day, there’s not a lot of time for bride and groom photos. For me to work as quickly as possible on wedding day, I need to know your “good side,” your level of comfort with PDA, your sense of humor and how your body photographs.
Sure, it’s easy to show up and create good wedding photos without knowing the couple, but my personal best work is when my couples fully trust me. This level of trust is only something you feel when you’re comfortable in front of the camera and comfort has to be practiced the same way trust has to be earned.

Okay so real talk: The last thing you want to do is try and figure out travel arrangements for your wedding photographer. Insert me: Each of my wedding collections are custom designed based on the individual needs of my clients. The collections are created to be as simple as possible because I know wedding planning can be stressful. After a brief phone call, I will do all the research necessary to include any travel cost in your budget.
So now, you only have one thing to keep track of — how much fun we’re going to have.

Here’s the thing, you should be FRIENDS with your wedding photographer. Can you imagine having to spend your whole wedding day with a stranger who doesn’t get your jokes? Or know when you need a minute to breathe? Or know what parts of your body you are insecure about?
At Emily Reedstrom Photography, I pride myself on getting VERY personal with my couples, and truly that starts at the beginning. When you send me your initial inquiry, you’ll be asked to fill out a short questionnaire form so that I can get to know you a little bit. Once you fill that out, we schedule a call to chat on the phone and this is where I will ask you a series of questions about you and your fiancé, your life and your wedding dreams.
During this conversation, we will both decide if we think working together is going to be a good fit. And if we both swipe right (lol) then I start the research and designing of your custom wedding collection.
From here it’s boring stuff: scheduling invoices and signing contracts.
AND THEN IT’S FUN AGAIN! We will plan out your engagement session with extreme detail, and then we REALLY get to know each other during the engagement session.
My client selection process is a very serious thing to me. Not only do I want to be your bestie, but it is so important that we are one the same page about your needs. Turning brides away is never an enjoyable thing to do, but there are photographers out there for everyone, and you should have exactly what you want on your wedding day.
